Hello! My name is Marissa Kelly, I'm a recent graduate from the University of Portland. I received my degree in social work and Spanish. I enjoy travel, photography and movies. I am very eager to meet you and your family! I come from a big family. My parents are divorced, and I'm the eldest of seven siblings between the two households. My experience as a big sister has been invaluable. I am comfortable working with large groups, and with multiples. I started babysitting for pay when I was 12 years old. Ten years later, I'm experienced working with a variety of children and with very different needs. I've worked with newborns up to teenagers, and I'm experienced with special needs and/or special dietary restrictions. I was referred to Marissa by one of my friends and am so happy she was willing to share her with myself and my son! Even though we only used her for a short time, I am ever grateful to her! My 17 month old absolutely loved hanging out with her and I loved being able to go out and not be constantly worrying about him! I only wish she lived closer year round!

Marissa has been really fantastic to work with. She's on time, responsible, and knows what she is doing. I feel completely at ease leaving her in charge of my two kids. She cleans up after herself and the kids, communicates easily and thoroughly with us and is very organized when it comes to maintaining her babysitting schedule. My kids love her too, they ask me every hour, on the hour, "Is she here yet?!" on the days she's scheduled to sit. :)

I hired Marissa a few weeks ago to watch my 1yr old. I was very hesitant because this was the first time I ever had a babysitter that wasn't a relative. My daughter is a mommy's girl and I was so nervous she would cry the whole time. The first day Marissa showed up my daughter loved her. Every time she rings the door bell my little one is super excited to see her. Marissa is on time, reliable, so sweet and most importantly great with my daughter. She has set my mind at ease when it comes to having someone watch my little one. I highly recommend her to all you moms out there who want someone great to watch your children!
