My earliest experiences with looking after children started when I became a big sister at age 6. I helped a lot with the care of my younger siblings as I grew up. From ages 10-13, I started doing supervised babysitting of children outside of my family, with an adult nearby in case of any emergencies, but largely leaving me to manage the childcare on my own. At age 14 I graduated to solo babysitting jobs. Throughout high school, I had several families that I consistently babysat for. Since graduating high school, I have worked with several families in long-term nannying positions, with the most recent one lasting 2 years. I love children and love interacting with them. I appreciate and try to foster creativity in the children I work with, coming up with fun activities and games that keep them off of technology and interacting with the world around them. Read more I try to encourage playing outdoors whenever the weather permits. In addition to looking after children, I'm also very pleased to help with housework or preparing food if needed. I find both relaxing and enjoy doing them, so there’s no need to feel guilty about requesting it.
