I am a young adult, college graduate (UC Berkeley Class of 2014) who moved away from home for the first time this year. I spent a month backpacking around Europe, by myself. I returned home and lived with my parents for a few months and took care of a 6 month girl and 2 year old boy. I then visited my boyfriend who was studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland, and within the week I was traveling, I found a home to live in as an au pair for a two year old girl and four year old boy and the mom was expecting to give birth within a month of me moving there. It was an experience of a lifetime. I worked as an aquatics director at a residential camp in the Sierra Nevadas with my boyfriend and after this crazy year decided to move up here as he attends Read more his last year of college. I am pursuing a career in scientific research at OHSU as I prepare for graduate school in medicine. I have experienced a lot of wonderful things this year. And throughout my life in the childcare business I have seen it all! I have an interesting story and background to share. If you are interested in learning more about me feel free to contact me! For some reason I have an affinity for taking care of children. When I talk with some of my new friends in the Portland area, I learn that some of them have never babysat or taken care of children. I have been babysitting people's children since I was 12, and it has always been a consistent part of my life. I also love to rock climb, cycle, and run, as well as cook and I'm learning to play the guitar.
