Greetings parents! I am looking for weekday hours and will consider a few date nights a week. I reide in SE Portland near Reed College and at this time prefer not to travel too far outside of Portland. I would entertain caring for 3 children in short bursts 2-5 hours at a time. I would consider special occasions if you have a workshop you need to attend or something of the sort. If you feel I could be a particularly spectacular addition to your children's calendar one day or evening a week - please feel free to drop me a line. I can also implement classes for a group of 4-8 children after school in art, writing, dramatic play or theater if you'd like to partner with a group of families to create the perfect 8 week class. Having spent the past 20 years raising my own children and enjoying Read more a vibrant career as a portrait photographer (and family photographer)- I find myself yearning for the energy of babies and younger children. I was an elementary school teacher for 11 years at a school in San Francisco and finished my tenure there after creating and implementing a 12 week summer program for 75 kids around the city. That school is called Presidio Hill School and I am proud to say that many of those children are now having children with whom I am still in touch with- many of them are leaning into me for support and love as they begin their parental journey. I wish they were here in Portland! My intuition tells me that there are a few very special families out there that might perhaps be looking for something more than someone to play cards with. A family who could really benefit from having someone like me around either on special occasions, evenings out or perhaps just two lovely afternoons each week. Here is what I can bring to the table: I bring zero judgement about the way you live or do things if your children are healthy and mostly happy (I think I can help with this and make your life a little easier, too) I am 100% happy to abide by your code and rules. I have no problem towing the line WITH you and I am silly and fun. I can implement homework, art, dance, music, song, cooking, dramatic play or days out seamlessly. We can expel energy healthfully without over- stimulating your children in the process. During nap time (if there is one) I am happy to help with household chores that support you in having an easier day. I GET IT!! I have my own fully insured vehicle and a clean driving record.
