I have always loved working with kids, they are bright, entertaining and fun to be around. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. I started with my neighbors kids who were several years younger then me. We would play in their yard and I would make them food while their parents were away. My first long term babysitting job was with a family friend who had just had a baby. I watched her 3 month old while she would go shopping, shower, clean the house or go on dates. I was wonderful experience working with an infant. I've had several other long term babysitting jobs with children of different ages including a 2 and a half year old and a pair of siblings who were 5 and 8. It is very rewarding watching kids grow.
