Hi! My name is Samantha and I am 20 years old. I am first aid and CPR certified. I have worked as a camp counselor with children for 7 years, ranging from all ages, as well as, baby sitting for family and family friends since I was 11 years old. I also have experience teaching younger children through Girl Scouts and boys and girls club. During my time as a camp counselor, I was teaching them outdoor skills like observing different plants and trees, as well as, teaching about sharing, inclusion, being kind, and most importantly, having fun! I absolutely adore working with kids and would love the opportunity to work as a nanny/babysitter for a sweet family this summer! I am very patient with children, as I have lots of little ones in my family and am around them on a weekly basis. I am very flexible with my Read more schedule, am able to take the children on fun outings like swimming, to the park, etc. I believe that in order for someone to work with children, they need to be patient to be able to handle their different behaviors, empathy to understand their feelings, and creativity to keep them interested. Good communication helps in talking to them and explaining ideas or rules. Being adaptable lets you adjust to different situations, and being reliable means they can count on you and trust you! Problem-solving skills are important to fix any issues that come up, creating a safe and happy place for children to grow!
