I am a Special Education Teacher in Portland, Oregon. I have worked for the David Douglas School District for 6 years and prior to that, Portland Public Schools for 3 years. I am not teaching summer school this summer, so I am looking for part time nanny or babysitting jobs for the summer of 2023. I am available on both week days and occasional weekends. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from UMASS Amherst in 2010 and an MS in Special Education from PSU in 2017. Prior to my ten years spent in Special Education I have worked in early childcare, teaching swimming lessons and providing respite care for children with special needs. In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors. Hiking, biking, swimming and camping are some of my favorite activities. My hobbies include reading, writing and water coloring. I practice daily mindfulness and meditation and incorporate Read more them into my teaching practices and relationships with children. In my spare time, I volunteer helping women in recovery create resumes, fill out job applications and make profiles on major job seeking websites.
