Caring for children runs in my blood. I grew up in a household with my grandmother running a day-care center in her home. I would come home from school and be surrounded by children of all ages and have made lifelong best friends this way. This led me to also lending help as I got older and eventually offering services outside of my grandmothers home for weekend childcare. In high school I took part in assisting the day care facility and dedicated all four years to deepening my knowledge of developing children. Understanding their cognitive needs was really interesting to me. I took my experience with children and applied it to helping older kids with special needs and that’s where I thrive. I have been out of the game for some time, however with my background experience I can easily pick up and acclimate accordingly. I love both cats and Read more dogs, (although partial to cats 😉) my interests include fashion and cooking.
