Thank you for taking the time to consider me for your childcare position! I am passionate about children and enjoy spending time with, and caring for, them which is why I am interested in becoming a care provider for your family. I have studied developmental psychology at Linfield College for the past four years. My knowledge about the way that infants, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary school-aged children develop allows me to create a healthy, safe environment that provides opportunities for your child to learn and play at an age appropriate level. Ensuring that children have an abundance of play is my number one priority because of how vital it is to their language and social development. I also think that it is important for children to form a connection with nature and the outdoors. On my end of things, this means they will be spending a minimal amount of time Read more in front of the television, and instead will be playing dress up, reading books, exploring the outdoors, and participating in arts, crafts and science experiments! I have gained extensive experience with children through working as a ski instructor, camp counselor and volunteering at a preschool. Additionally, I have two younger siblings, the youngest of whom I cared for regularly during her infancy and childhood, and am highly competent in most tasks required. I have experience caring for infants through the childcare services that I have provided for many families in the Sisters, OR community throughout my high school career. Most recently I was the nanny for three girls (ages 3.5, 8, and 13) in McMinnville, Oregon. I was responsible for cooking, playing, bathing, driving, and bedtime duties. The youngest was not yet toilet-trained so, in addition to diaper changing, I was responsible for helping with that process. I am more than happy to provide references upon request! Thank you, and I hope to meet you soon!
