Recently I relocated to Mosier after living for 30 years in a small northern CA community raising my three beautiful children as a single parent. I'm a 63 yo retired nurse, grandmother of 4 who loves children of all ages. I believe in providing children with healthy family experiences and I enjoy all sorts of playtime activities, be it spending time just splashing through rain puddles, taking nature walks, board or card games, creative art, tea parties, playing dress up, singing, dancing, sewing, cooking, crafting or educational activities. I've been a community theatre actress for the past 25 years, owned a catering business and restaurant for a number of years after my retirement, and continue to work in children's theatre as a costume designer every summer. I'm an avid reader and prefer books over television or movies any day of the week. I've tutored young children two afternoons a week in my home, preparing them for testing, assisting with math or reading, and helping to complete homework or work on special projects assigned by the teacher. I understand children's needs and feel I offer a good balance of respect, love, acceptance, advice, support and encouragement. My goal is to provide your child with a fun and safe environment to be themselves in while giving them a sense of well-being and happiness during the absence of their parent.
