Meet Kristen

  • Comfortable with pets
  • Has a car

I worked in childcare full-time for over 5 years, currently I am working for the Beaverton School District. During my childcare experience I spent the first year and a half working in a center as the lead infant provider then briefly as a preschool teacher of a 3 year old class. From 2011-2016 I was employed as a full time nanny. From working in a center with many kids at once I learned to adapt quickly, and multitask efficiently. Working as a nanny I developed strong bonds with the families and great communication skills. I had my first child in April of 2020, COVID has allowed me to work from home for the past year. Being faced with the call to return to work has stirred my interest in the possibility of becoming a nanny once more. I am interested in positions that would be open to letting me bring Read more my little one along. I love my current job, but I know the importance of great childcare. My goal is to find a family who needs long-term care. I am comfortable with multiple children of many different ages. My driving record and background checks are clear. I am very creative and enjoy being outdoors. We live on a farm with horses, dogs, chickens and goats. I am very comfortable with animals. I am a great multi-tasker, and I enjoy finding ways to accomplish many things at once. I have no problem helping out with grocery shopping, laundry, housekeeping or cooking. I am responsible, reliable and flexible to my employer's needs.  I believe every child is different so being a great caregiver involves problem solving and creativity.  I believe in great manners and rewarding good behavior, even the small things.  I believe teaching children to be compassionate and caring gives them a good sense of self worth and teaches them the tools of social development.  Most passionately I believe that the parents know their kid better than anyone and I want to align with what they feel helps their child succeed and learn best. I look forward to connecting with you and I am available to answer any questions you may have. I have a resume, and references to better outline my work history those are available upon request. I can provide all of my certifications and diplomas as well! Thanks for reading

Kristen has babysat for my three children a number of times. ALL kids love her (7, 4, and 8 months). She is patient, kind and engaging. She is always on time and reliable. Everyone is happy when Miss Kristen arrives!

Kristen has cared for my 5 week old daughter twice now and i am really happy with her. She is always early so that she can receive any instructions before it is time for me to leave and she is also very flexible. She was willing to come to my home to be interviewed with only a couple days notice and two days later she cared for my daughter for the first time. Kristen is very good with infants and she also has very affordable rates. I plan to continue using her in the future and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly professional to care for their newborn. - NaTasha
