Hi my name is Delanie and I am 21 years old! I have a lot of experience caring for children and have been babysitting for about 6+ years for many families with children of multiple ages. I have a flexible schedule and can work both weekday and weekends. Also I am currently majoring in child development and have almost completed my bachelors.

I'm 38 years old and was an infant and special needs nanny in Portland for many years before returning to southern Oregon to open my own business which has subsequently closed. My oldest is in college at SOU, my stepson is 9 and is my weekend buddy. I'm comfortable with all aspects of infant and child care. I've lost touch with most of the parents I worked for in PDX but a few remain FB friends for references. I'm tidy, not scared of housework, I love to cook and bake, read (love my library!), I listen to NPR, TV is just background noise to me though I prefer music. I have a mellow personality and I'm quick to laugh, I don't smoke anything, I dont do drugs, I love pets, no real allergies, I love to write and read the paper, I've been told I'm diplomatic and funny. I'm okay with everyone's politics, sexual preference, gender, race, beliefs.

I have experience working with children growing up I had 3 siblings to take care of. My current job I work with children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. I have experience with helping cooking ,cleaning , helping children learn the importance of hygiene and taking care of their environment. I am available at all times of the day and night.

I don’t have any paid babysitting experience, but I do have a lot of experience in general with children, I am the oldest sibling of six sisters, my parents were always working or doing other things. So as the oldest sibling, I would take care of the kids which included feeding them, bathing them changing their clothes, coming up with things for them to stay occupied and teaching them how to learn the basic necessities. I’m a very caring, loving person and I love animals and people. I go to church every Sunday and sometimes in between for activities and such I also have never been in trouble with law-enforcement ever in my life and I currently work at a senior living facility which they had prior run a background check before, but if you need it, I will do it again. I currently do not have a way of transportation so that might be something we would have to work on, but I am willing to do all other things that are necessary for the job and I won’t be taking it as just a job because these are your children. They need to learn and grow just as we as adults do I will take care of them with empathy and compassion for their needs. also, if requested, I will even do research to provide stimulating games that will help them to learn and develop.

I have over 6 years of experience as a professional nanny and sitter, and I’m now also a mom to the love of my life—my 19-month-old daughter, Kiah. Depending on the arrangement, Kiah may be with me during care, but not always. She’s sweet, social, and loves playing with other kids—especially those close in age! We’re a fun, travel-loving family with a dog (Bentley) and a cat (Prince), so I’m very comfortable around pets. I can watch children under 5 in your home or mine (I’m located near a great park!) and am open to caring for up to 2–3 children at a time. Hi! I started babysitting as a teenager for family/friends, then in highschool I started taking child education classes and started working hands on with preschool aged children. Right after I graduated I got a job at a daycare as the teacher's aide. After a couple years I became the lead teacher for the Pre-K classroom and got my CDA certification. Now I am currently taking early childhood education classes at RCC to further my knowledge on child development. In the past 6+ years I have been working with children, I have been with all different age groups and learning capabilities.
