For the past 4 years, I have been a caregiver for a young autistic boy. We have plenty of time for playing outside, going for walks, and swinging in the yard. We learn by; reading books, learning numbers and doing math, fine motor skills work, spelling, following rules, following directions. I teach him life skills too; pulling out chair before sitting down, washing hands, etc. I have a degree in psychology from Moravian College.
