Hello, nice to meet you! I have worked with kids from a young age to age 17, as I used to be a shelter aide for children who resided in the building where I was employed. I not only did the office work, but I was around the kids quite a lot, as I was the one who drove them to their physical and dental appointments. Many times on those car rides, I remember getting kids to talk who wouldn't talk to anyone else. This was the same for whenever I had elderly care jobs; I could get them to talk to me and trust me when it was a different story with other people who had tried to help them. At the kid's shelter, I was around them when I supervised at meal times and different events. I am kid like and goofy at times myself, so I really Read more enjoyed being around and helping the children any way I could, especially with that particular place housing troubled youth. I really loved being a positive inspiration and a good role model to them, and it became clear at that job that I love working with kids.
