I am a warm, loving, free-spirited, and earthy individual who is able to adapt to different challenges. I am from a large family filled with lots of personalities. My favorite saying is family is like chocolate, mostly sweet with a few nuts. I want to be a caregiver because I want to provide personal care for a loving family - all while using my skills to enrich their children's lives and vice versa. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen the childcare profession, over any other, it would have to be because I have worked in different fields, but have found that none have been as rewarding as providing childcare. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 2 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel children are individuals that need the freedom to Read more express themselves. They have their own little personalities and are remarkable little people. My goal as a caregiver is to enrich the lives of the children I come in contact with through fun, love, and education. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives, I would say that I am grounded, compassionate, energetic, goal-oriented, and creative. I possess all clearances and am CPR certified. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include activities that build motor and comprehensive skills based on age range. These activities could include education scavenger hunts, nature walks, sensory activities, and arts and crafts. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a caregiver like me, I would say I hope they would be friendly, accepting, adventurous, warm and inviting.
