Hi! I’m Monique. I am a current graduate student with a background in teaching high school science and math. Before returning to school, I worked full time as a teacher and middle school coach. I developed a strong passion for helping young people grow through creativity, structure, and confidence-building. I bring that same energy and care into babysitting, aiming to create a fun, safe, and enriching environment for every child. I love engaging children in activities that are both fun and meaningful. Outdoor play is one of my favorites because it gives kids a chance to explore, be active, and burn off energy in a healthy way. I also value free play, which helps build imagination, creativity, and problem-solving skills. I am a big fan of arts and crafts, from painting to making things with recycled materials. Cooking with kids is also one of my favorite activities because it teaches responsibility, basic math, and life skills in a fun and hands-on way. With my teaching background, I am more than happy to help with homework or school assignments. I work to make learning approachable and will always support children in building confidence with schoolwork. I also enjoy incorporating educational games that challenge thinking while keeping learning playful. I aim to minimize screen time and instead focus on interactive, hands-on experiences. I include age-appropriate chores like tidying up or sorting laundry, which helps build responsibility and teamwork in a positive and encouraging way.
