I have babysat causally since I was about 13 years old. When I was in middle school and high school I volunteered with younger children at camps and at church. I majored in criminal justice in college with concentration in psychology. Once out of college I worked as a therapeutic support/ bachelors level therapist. I did that for a total of about 3 years. The children and youth I worked with had behavioral challenges some also had developmental disabilities. I worked with them one on one to develop healthy coping skills, taught social skills, and much more. My most recent job which I worked for about a year was at a children’s group home. I was a group home supervisor for up to 25 children and youth ( juvenile delinquent , and dependent youth) whom suffered trauma and had behavioral and mental health disorders. This job entailed several duties such Read more as supervision of youth , enforcing daily schedule and rules, cooking , directing and assisting with chores , maintaining order in the facility, providing for the safety of youth and staff and much more. I am currently moving closer towards my mom and in the process of interviewing further for a state job in New York. So right now I am looking to babysit causually to make some money until I am through the process which may take some time. Hopefully not to long though . Anyways I love kids of all ages and it’s one of my great passions in life to care for them. Thank you for reading . :)
