Hi! My name is Lauren, and I’m a second-year Schreyer Honors College student at Penn State University Park, triple majoring in Human Development and Family Studies, Biochemistry, and Global Studies. I’ve maintained a 3.95 GPA over the course of my first year and hope to attend medical school to become a pediatric surgeon. I’ve been babysitting and tutoring since my freshman year of high school, and working with kids has been one of the most rewarding and consistent parts of my life. I have also volunteered as a camp counselor for the past few years; I have experience working specifically with Korean adoptees and kids with kidney disease. I love being a sitter because every day is different—whether I’m helping with homework, playing outside, or just hanging out, I enjoy building real connections with the kids I work with.
