I come from a big family growing up with 7 other siblings in the household. I'm the oldest daughter of 5 other siblings. Being the oldest daughter came with a lot of responsibilities. Growing up throughout the years I spent those periods being the surrogate parent to my younger siblings, always being on call for my mother 24/7/365. Watching over kids started when I would do little babysitting jobs for my mothers friends, while they worked or went out, and that's when I knew I was good with kids, and loved being around them. I am First Aid and CPR certified, I also took 2 Childhood Development classes in 10th and 11th grade. Life with children can be unpredictable and I know I'm able to adapt to the situations they face. Hello, my name is Heather and I am seeking to assist a family/families with overnight care for their child/children. Within the past year, I have assisted families in which a parent/parents work overnight shifts (nurses, nurse practitioner, police officer). In the fall of 2021, I assisted a family with overnight infant care for their 6-week-old so the parents could get much needed sleep. My degree is in education and have worked with/cared for children of all ages for over 15 years. Currently, I am a nanny to a 3, 7, & 8-year-old in Bridgeville, PA and volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children.

Growing up in a home that provided foster care to many children, I learned to value from a young age the importance of curiosity, play, teaching at an appropriate level, and the impact of engaged care on developing minds. I have spent time working with children of all ages in paid babysitting/nannying positions, as well as counseling kids 5-18 at a summer camp for the past 4 years.
