Growing up in a home that provided foster care to many children, I learned to value from a young age the importance of curiosity, play, teaching at an appropriate level, and the impact of engaged care on developing minds. I have spent time working with children of all ages in paid babysitting/nannying positions since I was 16, as well as counseling kids 5-18 at a summer camp for 10+ years. I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and love to use some of my professional skills with the kiddos I work with. In addition to spending time with children, I love being outdoors (swimming, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing), practicing yoga, traveling, and reading. I am (mostly) fluent in Spanish and have spent many months in Mexico volunteering at an orphanage.
