I am an experienced babysitter/nanny who has been caring for children for twelve years. The age groups that I have cared for range from infant to teenager, ages 7 months to 16 years. Most of my experience has been babysitting, though I have had full-time jobs, each involving three children. The first job was with children ages 6, 9, and 13. I also cared for these children when they were ages 9, 12, and 16. One of these children had a brain tumor, which was thankfully removed, but he had some behavioral problems. The second job was with children ages 3, 5, and 6. I fell into becoming a caregiver, and I loved it. My first babysitting job was with another girl when we were 11 and caring for her younger siblings. After that I began babysitting some children regularly, including a set of rambunctious twins. I have also cared Read more for a child with autism. I love working with children and making them smile. To me, the most rewarding thing about working with children is watching how quickly they grow. It's an unusual statement, but I really love seeing a child catch onto something they were struggling with in the past. I am an excellent caregiver for several reasons. Not only am I responsible, but I am also reliable. The only times I have been unable to come to a job have been for debilitating illness. I love arts and crafts and imaginative play. Often the two go hand in hand. For instance, making a sock puppet and then putting on a puppet show, or making a paper hat to parade around in. One of my favorite activities with children is story-time. I am also a fan of music, especially singing. I am CPR and first-aid certified, including infant CPR. I have a valid driver's license and a clear background check. I am comfortable with meal preparation and bedtime, as well as light housekeeping and animals.
