Hi, my name is Erin. I'm 29-years-old and I live in Center City, Philadelphia. I have always joked that, much like Doctor Dolittle's special connection with animals, I have one with children! Working with children over the years has been my heart and soul. Currently, I am working toward a masters in mental health counseling. Afterward, I intend to pursue a Psy.D. or Ph.D. in psychology. Therefore, I would like to think that I am particularly attuned to providing children with a secure environment (not to mention a fun one, too!). Some of my favorite activities from my past experience as a babysitter/nanny have been constructing a miniature amusement park out of Legos and Mobilos, making up songs and dances and putting on shows for dolls and stuffed animals, backyard scavenger hunts, using craft supplies to make a stage and puppets for a puppet show, etc. I also appreciate the Read more need for some quiet, relaxed activities, too. Additionally, I have an eye for detail as it pertains to children's safety and well-being. For example, while walking outside with young children, I make sure that we are holding hands and the children are walking on my side that's further away from the street/on the inside of the sidewalk. If we are getting into the car on a summer day, before buckling them in, I make sure the metal part of the seat-belt isn't scalding hot. I think that "little things" like that can make a big difference. I consider myself to be very responsible and I look forward to learning about your values as a family so I may do my best to act accordingly. I have a clean criminal background and an Enhanced Background Check on file. Furthermore, I am a licensed, insured driver and would be comfortable transporting your children or running errands if you permit usage of your safe vehicle. I have a spotless driving record (I have never even been pulled over). At your request, I would be happy to obtain a Motor Vehicle Records Check. Finally, at your request, I would be glad to obtain current First Aid, AED & CPR Certification.
