I have spent most of my life being a casual babysitter for family friends, and I have been a paid babysitter for about 8 years. I absolutely love spending time with children, and I have always sought out opportunities that allow me to do just that. Some of my friends say that the reason I’m so good with kids is that our interests tend to align (Lion King and Frozen are some of my favorite movies!). In addition to babysitting, I have spent a summer working in the pediatric ward of a hospital, and most recently completed an internship where I ran a summer day camp for elementary school children. I am passionate about making sure the children I work with have fun, and I arrive prepared with supplies tailored to each kid’s hobbies and interests – story books, art materials, games, movies etc. I am also capable of helping Read more with homework (I was an official tutor throughout college for kids and other college students). In addition to all these, I am experienced in caring for really young children (newborns and toddlers) and I am able to discern and attend to their needs. I can change diapers, feed them and soothe them. I am also CPR and first aid certified. I really love children, and I want them to feel safe, loved and happy. This is my goal with every job I undertake.
