Since I began working as a teenager, many of my jobs have involved caring for children—from being a regular babysitter for a few families in my hometown in Connecticut, to a summer camp counselor, to assisting with art education programs for pre-schooled age children at art museums. More recently, I developed and taught college-level summer courses and workshops for high school aged students. For this job I received required training and child abuse clearance from the state of PA. For previous employment I have also received CPR training, although those certifications are no longer current. Other job experience I have includes two seasons working as a housekeeper at a high-end guest ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and a cafe server at Fork Etc (now High Street on Market) in Philadelphia. I have earned both bachelors and masters degrees in Art from the University of Delaware and Carnegie Mellon University, respectively. Read more For my work as an artist, I have participated Iin Residencies and exhibition opportunities around the globe—from the high Arctic to Japan (and many places in between). I am an avid traveler, cook, reader and walker. I also enjoy singing, swimming and going to museums. My sister has two young children (currently ages 2 and 4) who, for a year, I spent several days a week caring for, and when I was living in Pittsburgh for graduate school I lived with a couple who had their first child (now age 3) while I was living with them, and I developed a very close relationship with her. I was not a formal nanny but have a lot of experience living with and caring for young children.
