Hi! My name is Aretha, and I am currently a student at Dickinson College, studying Anthropology. I started my professional career in childcare at Dickinson in the Carlisle area. With blended experience at the Carlisle Family YMCA as a daycare teacher assistant and babysitting, I’ve taken care of children as young as four months to six years old. Growing up, I have always had the love for caring for children. Prior to that, I have had a reasonable amount of experience working with kids at the Seaport Independence Museum as a River Ambassador. There, I was assigned to create lesson plans and interactive activities in order to teach children of our ecosystem. With these experiences, I’ve learned ways on how to care for children, such as cleaning, cooking, and providing enriching activities.
