Hi I’m Bridget! I have a BFA from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. I have been passionate about childcare from an early age. My experience with childcare dates back to middle school, babysitting for neighbors on date nights, when picked up more in high school and turned into nannying by summer breaks in college. I have experience with infants, toddlers and kids all the way up to their pre-teens! I value creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all children. My most recent long term nanny position was for a family of 5 with 3 children. This took place in September of 2020 as COVID restrictions loosened slightly. In this position I cared for a 9 month old infant, while the parents worked from home. My daily schedule included, changing diapers, taking the baby out for walks to the park, reading, singing and talking to Read more him, setting him down for naps, meal prep, light laundry and tidying around the house. From what started as a couple hours a day turned into a full time position in a matter of weeks. I had the opportunity to be immersed with this family and become a part of their lives. Soon I watched the baby take his first steps and say his first words. I took on the responsibility of. picking up the 5 year old twin siblings from school, which soon after became a full time summer adventure with all three children. From picnics, to art projects, to puppet shows, face painting and more I ended up spending 2 incredible years with this family and I still do date nights for them from time to time. Aside from this experience I have babysat and nannied for other families short and long term. I cherish the challenges and value the growth that derives from this career enhancing both the family and my own life. Aside from babysitting and nannying I also have experience teaching art for children ages about 3-12. My knowledge of art and education is a unique skill that I always bring with me. I love clear and honest communication as every family has their own way of discipline and rules for their households. Although COVID restrictions have loosened up a bit, I am always alert to new protocols, I am fully vaccinated, happy to wear a mask and do what is necessary to keep others around me safe and comfortable. I am CPR certified and happy to get any certifications needed to move forward and improve my experience.
