Thanks for checking out my profile! I am a current graduate student studying Art Therapy and Counseling, with an undergraduate degree in political science. In recent years I nannied abroad in Paris, France for 3 children aged 2,6, and 8. My duties included homework help, accompanying children to and from school and activities, bathtime, light cleaning, meal prep, english tutoring, and a LOT of arts activities. After that, I went on to nanny for a two child family in the suburbs of chicago (ages 2yr and 4 mo). There, my job included early learning activities, alphabet learning, song singing, library trips, and again plenty of arts. Previously, I have served twice with Americorps literacy programs in Grinnell, Iowa at a daycare/preschool summer camp and as an arts outreach educator with the Grinnell College Museum of Art. I have tutored in both french and english as well. I like encourage children to celebrate everyday joy, I'm goofy, and I know how to be strict when necessary.
