I recently took an early retirement from teaching, as my youngest child entered college. I have experience teaching preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school. I have worked in the field of education/child care as a teacher, consultant, specialist, child care center owner/director, and birth coach for my family. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate majoring in Public Health. My area of concentration is Epidemiology. I look forward to continuing to work with children on a part-time basis while pursuing my degree. I have current child abuse, FBI, and criminal history background clearances. Alva did a great job with the my 3 girls. She is very kind and nurturing to the children sans did a good job with making me feel secure leaving the kids in her care. As an added benefit she haves a lot of accolades to assist with the children’s educational needs. I will be working with her from now on and would highly recommend her.

Alva is great, patient, kind and caring. My 1 year old is a pandemic baby and very attached to me. Alva came in and introduced her to arts and crafts and remained patient with her evening when she was crying the whole time! I would definitely recommend Alva to any family looking for a nanny.
