I have been around pets all my life, and have owned some interesting characters. They are members of the family, not just something that needs to be fed and cleaned up after. I have cared for multiple breeds of dogs (mastiff, pit bull, rottweiler, labs, spaniels, poodles, jack russell terriers, lhasa apso) and several breeds of cats (domestic short hairs, persian, siamese, abyssinian). Not to mention the other less common species. I understand they do not like their schedule disrupted and can also suffer from separation anxiety. This means spending time playing with the pet, not just a quick drop in. I am comfortable dispensing medication. I prefer to meet the pets first to make sure we are compatible. I am also able to collect the mail and newspapers and water the plants. References are available.
