Hi, I have been a parent of a special needs child (ASD, ADHD, LD) for the past 26 years. For 8 years I was a foster mom to medically fragile infants (cancer patients, feeding issues/G-tube, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delays). I'm looking for part time work, either in your home or mine or a hospital setting. Although I am not a nurse (but have a MS in science), I have the desire, and ability, to care for medically fragile infants. I know CPR, some sign language, and am very familiar with applying therapies (Speech, Occupational, Physical), medications and tube feedings. I can offer to stay with a young child in a hospital while the parents attend to other responsibilities. This would include any overnight stays with the child. I prefer short segments of work ( 1-5 hour shifts) and am fairly flexible on most days, including weekends) with enough notice. I Read more really prefer to work with infants to toddlers 0-3. I have all of the necessary background clearances and CPR/First aid training and reliable transportation.
Trust & safety
We encourage parents to conduct their own screenings using the background check tools. See what each of the badges covered, or learn more about keeping your family safe by visiting the Trust & Safety Center.
