I'm a currently a student in Boston who loves interacting with kids! I've been babysitting for 7 years now, and enjoy every minute of it. Babysitting allows me to not only have fun and help out families in need, it also helps me use my imagination to come up with activities and games to entertain the children I take care of. On a regular basis back home, I care for a family with three high-energy kids, so I'm used to staying on my toes! I've sat for age ranges 3 to 13, though I have the most experience with ages 7 to 13. Caretaking is second nature for me, because though I'm the youngest of my siblings, I'm an aunt of 3 and understand how important it is to be responsible for a child, or a group of children. I frequently volunteer in my community both at home and in Read more Boston, and have participated in several service projects with children's charities and educational enrichment programs. I believe that as a babysitter it's not just my responsibility to keep the children I'm watching safe, it's also my responsibility to keep them happy, entertained, and mentally stimulated. As a child, I loved to learn and read, and try to make learning fun for the kids I babysit, especially when they're tasked with completing homework assignments or projects. If there isn't any homework to be done, I enjoy creating activities for kids like scavenger hunts and charades, but always with an exciting twist. Being an artistic and imaginative person, I also love helping kids put on plays and skits when there's free time.
