Hi! My name is Jessica, and I am looking for part-time babysitting or mother’s helper work while my own children are in school. I am available Monday through Friday, 9am to 3pm, and occasionally for date night sitting. I bring a unique combination of childcare experience and professional background to every family I work with. Early in my career, I worked as a nanny for two families and remain close with both. I also have direct care experience working in an Alzheimer’s unit, a group home for teenage girls who had experienced abuse, and as a caregiver for an individual with MS. For four years, I volunteered at a bereavement center supporting children who had lost a parent or sibling, which remains one of the most meaningful things I have done. I now have three children of my own, ages 10, 9, and 4, so I understand firsthand what families need and what parents are looking for in someone caring for their kids. I am happy to help beyond traditional babysitting as well, including running errands, light housework, and other tasks that make a parent’s day easier. Outside of work, I am very active. I love hiking, gardening, and spending time with my dogs and chickens. I am Girl Scout troop leader for my daughter’s troop. I hold current CPR and First Aid certifications and have experience volunteering as an EMT when I was younger. As a Girl Scout troop leader, my child abuse clearances are renewed every year, and as a volunteer with a crisis hotline, my criminal clearances are updated annually as well.
