In this role, I have provided hands-on care with everything from toileting, dressing, and daily life skills to creating fun, engaging experiences and supporting campers’ independence. I have also worked closely with middle schoolers and teenagers, including providing care for neurotypical children who attended camp. My experience has taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, compassion, and meeting each child where they are. Hi! I’m a mom of three boys with years of experience caring for children, along with a strong background in healthcare. Before becoming a full-time mom, I worked in healthcare as a Rehabilitation Nursing Technician and Nursing Assistant, giving me hands-on experience caring for people with a variety of needs. However, I believe it can be a wonderful option for parents who want their child to have socialization, interaction, and built-in playmates without sending them to a traditional daycare. Your child would have the opportunity to play and socialize with other children in a smaller, more personal environment while still receiving attentive and loving care. My goal is to create a setting that feels less like a traditional daycare and more like a fun day spent with a caring mom and new friends. I am happy to incorporate age-appropriate play, crafts, reading, outdoor activities, learning activities, and plenty of opportunities for children to interact and have fun.
