Growing up in a home that provided foster care to many children, I learned to value from a young age the importance of curiosity, play, teaching at an appropriate level, and the impact of engaged care on developing minds. I have spent time working with children of all ages in paid babysitting/nannying positions, as well as counseling kids 5-18 at a summer camp for the past 4 years. I am currently a student working towards a degree as an occupational therapy assistant to eventually work with young children as an OTA. In addition to spending time with children, I love being outdoors (swimming, hiking, kayaking), practicing yoga, and reading. I am (mostly) fluent in Spanish and have spent many weeks in Mexico volunteering at an orphanage and learning to cook some favorite meals.
