I started out my career as a professional artist working for York Wallcoverings, York, Pa. I gave up my career to stay home with my children for 10 years. Therefore I have hands on knowledge of all the stages in a childs life. My children are excellent well-behaved students and I am very proud of them. After staying home I pursued a career in childcare. I was an Aftercare Teacher for 2 years working at New Salem Elementry. These were children ages 5 to 10 years of age. The class held approx. 20 children and an average of 5 had either behavioral or disability problems. After 2 years in aftercare, I accepted a full-time position at Small World Daycare in Spring Grove, Pa. I was a Preschool Aide and lead teacher substitute for 2 years.
