Hi! My name is Lydia Elia, a freshman at Penn State. Due to the pandemic, I have decided to switch to online learning for the year and continue living at my residence in Swarthmore. I love children and babysitting/nannying has always been my job of choice, so I am looking for some jobs this school year. In terms of experience, I have spent my past three summers working as a full-time nanny to three children, ages 5-12, but I also have experience working as evening sitters for a number of infants. I am happy to provide multiple references. I also have several years of experience as a camp counselor, so I know lots of fun outdoor activities and arts and crafts kids like. I love the outdoors and have actually spent a week out of my past three summers hiking a portion of the Appalachian trail with my sister. I Read more am also a soon to be studio art major, and have always loved arts and crafts so I love to organize those types of things for kids. While I do not have teaching experience, I have several years of experience as a national honors society tutor working with young kids from my school district. I am comfortable with cooking and cleaning and any sort of chores around the house. I am also very comfortable with pets. I have taken a CPR course my sophomore year, so I am familiar with CPR and some basic emergency training. I follow the CDC guidelines in my household and am comfortable with wearing masks and am willing to do any type of sterilization and surface cleaning you may need to feel comfortable with me in your home.
