FORMER ART TEACHER looking for part time. Currently teaching art at summer camp ages 6 - 13,. I have about 15 yrs child care experience combined with babysitting, teaching, subbing, functioning as an art therapist at a child care facility, and as a nanny.I have worked with all ages K-12 and children with special physical, emotional and mental needs.I'm fun, resourceful, energetic, intelligent. kind.Children like me and I like them very much. I have a good sense of humor and can them laugh.I am respectful of the parents' child rearing philosophies. I have always babysat. I was a favorite with children, even as a teenager. In college, I tutored, then went on to be an art teacher covering every grade K-12 including special needs children. For several years I was an art therapist at a child care facility and for group homes. Needless to say, I'm great with arts and Read more crafts! I also like being outdoors and have a lot of energy! I am also a free lance illustrator/product designer/painter.A lot of my work involves children's themes.I collect picture books and I am working on my own.I make up great stories! Yrs ago a former business associate had a nanny who abruptly quit. I took on the job at the last minute.Temporary grew beyond a year and I loved it! I nannied for their two little girls ages 4 & 7 and was told I was the best nanny they ever had. Recently in time, I had been doing per diem babysitting for several families on a regular basis: 1- 2 neighbor boys ages 4 & 6 sat for them since the youngest was a baby - I was a guest at preschool for 'Grandpals' Day' 2- a 4 yr old girl for 3yrs- I was her guest at school for 'Very Special Person Day' Started by being date night sitter then it evolved to overnights & long stretches 3- a yr + old toddler (for over a year) 4-3 children ages 7 (boy), 4 (girl), and 1 (girl) for approx. 2 yrs until they moved to Germany 5- 2 preteen children.We had adventures from wading in creeks, geocaching, fishing, etc - 2 yrs 6 - 2 toddlers so close in age they were like twins! with them from the youngest in diapers until kindergarten. I still do random sitting for them 7 - full time sitting during covid quarantine year for 2 toddlers, Still in touch and involved 8 - a little 2 year old boy for 4 months until camp 9 - teaching at camp, 7 classes a day Some of the above overlapped and all of the above would give me great references!
