Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am a student studying Communication Sciences and Disorders (Speech Pathology). I am hoping to work with children once I have my degree, so babysitting has often felt like more fun than work to me. I have been working with kids from the time I could start working! I volunteer in childcare with my church teaching Sunday School and helping out with our summer camp. One of my jobs is teaching swim lessons to kids, so I have current CPR certification and have taught at personal pools as well. I also have my Child Abuse clearances and fingerprints because of school shadowing opportunities. I am more likely to find one or two families I want to consistently babysit, as most of the families I babysit now I have known for years and I think that can help make everyone more comfortable. I have babysat for date nights, small groups, 9-5 care, and was planning on going on vacation with one of the families I babysit for before COVID-19 changed their plans.
