Hi! I’m a mom of three boys with years of experience caring for children, along with a strong background in healthcare. I genuinely love working with children and take pride in creating a safe, caring, fun, and comfortable environment where they can learn, play, and feel at home. Before becoming a full-time mom, I worked in healthcare as a Rehabilitation Nursing Technician and Nursing Assistant, giving me hands-on experience caring for people with a variety of needs. I have also spent years babysitting and caring for children. I have previous training in CPR and First Aid, as well as healthcare clearances, which I am currently in the process of renewing. I am also currently finishing my Psychology degree, which has given me an even greater understanding of child development, behavior, communication, and the different needs children have at various stages of development. Because I am a mom of three, I am looking for a family who is comfortable with one or two of my children being with me while I provide care (ages 3 and 4). I completely understand that this arrangement isn’t ideal for every family, and I want to be upfront about it from the beginning. However, I believe it can be a wonderful option for parents who want their child to have socialization, interaction, and built-in playmates without sending them to a traditional daycare. Your child would have the opportunity to play and socialize with other children in a smaller, more personal environment while still receiving attentive and loving care. My goal is to create a setting that feels less like a traditional daycare and more like a fun day spent with a caring mom and new friends. I am happy to incorporate age-appropriate play, crafts, reading, outdoor activities, learning activities, and plenty of opportunities for children to interact and have fun. I feel like babysitting has always come naturally to me. I started at a pretty young age and have been around kids and helping take care of them for most of my life. It’s something I’ve always felt comfortable doing and enjoy being able to help families out when they need it. I’ve been babysitting since I was 13 years old and have watched kids of all different ages. I also have multiple nieces and nephews ranging from 6 to 10 years old who I’ve helped take care of since they were born. From 2021 to 2022, I worked at a childcare center where I cared for children from 6 months to 6 years old. I helped with diaper changes, potty training, meals, keeping everything clean and safe, and planning activities for the kids. I also communicated with parents about their child’s needs and how they were doing throughout the day. The only reason I stopped working in childcare was because I moved about an hour away from the school I was working at. Around the same time, my family opened a restaurant, so I ended up helping my family with getting everything up and running and taking on a lot of that responsibility. I have experience with children of different ages and am comfortable with things like diaper changes, potty training, preparing meals and snacks, cleaning up, and keeping kids on their routines. I’m also comfortable communicating with parents and making sure they know how their child is doing.
