My name is Kathleen Smillie, and I am an Elementary Education major at Roger Williams University. During the school year, I student teach at near by schools. If hired, I know what students are learning in school, and I am familiar with the common core. I believe with that knowledge, I can help your child with homework help or tutoring that they may need. At school I also am the president of a club that hosts events for special needs adults. Through my involvement in the club, I have been able to learn about different disabilities, and learn how to one might handle different situations. Past babysitting experience: 2011-2015 I was a weekly babysitter for two boys; one was six years old and the other was ten-moths old. The six year old was on the spectrum for autism. He also had some behavioral problems, which I had to learn how Read more to deal with so the boy would not harm himself or his brother. Summer 2017 I was a babysitter for two children; one was 8 and the other was 10 years old. I babysat Monday-Friday. Some of jobs included planning activities, and driving to their weekly destinations. We also would do a lot of crafts and play outside sports.
