Here is a little about me-- My name is Daniela, I am a 21 year old student from Virginia. Currently I am working on getting my Phlebotomy and Medical Assistant certificates. In the future I hope to get my Masters in Nursing, in the mean time I want to work at what I enjoy the most, which is taking care of children. I love working with children, in Virginia I volunteered for about three years at Main Street Child Development Center, where I worked with children ages 2-6. At the center, I helped teachers with the cognitive development of the children, as well as with the organization of the classroom. On a daily basis, I helped the teacher with planning the daily activities of the children, as well as upcoming event and facilitated the teacher’s duties by setting up the environment so that teacher may proceed with the lessons. Growing up I had to take care of my brother and sister when my parents were at work, and that involved picking them up from the bus stop and helping them with their homework, as well as attending to other things. I have been an employed babysitter since I was 14 years old, in which I took care of kids around my neighborhood and other families as well. As a babysitter I cared for kids at employer’s home. Organized activities for children, such as games, crafts, and outdoor activities, and maintained a clean and healthy environment for the children, as well as care for the emotional comfort of the children. Also taught basic language (Spanish) lessons and made sure the rules implied by parents were carried out. I provide quality care by being dependable, responsible, patient, fun, and caring person.
