My mother is one of 9 children, so growing up I had a very large -- but also very close -- extended family. I was among the older grandchildren and always loved taking care of my younger cousins. When I got to babysitting age I jumped right into watching them alone, and immediately found jobs for other families as well. Caring for children has always been enjoyable and came naturally to me. I've nannied for many families. Now, I am a teacher's assistant at an early learning center and not only do I love my job, but I am exceeding. The education coordinator of my school is now encouraging me to go back to school for my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, which I am very excited about.
