My name is Emma, and I am graduating this May at the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies. I am an aspiring Physician Assistant, and hope to work with kids in my career. Taking steps towards my goal has been put on hold during the pandemic. I joined this site so that I could still help out in some way, as I know many parents need help during these times. I previously worked for the Fogarty Center, which specializes in providing care for children who need some extra help. I worked one on one with a seven year old for almost a year, and took him to places, did homework with him, and made sure he was in bed okay. I also have experience watching children in my family. My own brother has several disabilities, so I am very accustomed to the care and Read more attention different children may need. I also have just completed my EMT-Basic course, but cannot test for my national certifications until the testing centers reopen. However, through this course I become CPR certified. I also am familiar with and prepared to handle first aid, medical, and traumatic emergencies. I can help out however needed. Homework, outside time, clean up, whatever it may be.
