I have always loved children. and they have always been drawn to me, but no one could ever have prepared me for how much richer and deeper I would experience that after I had my own child. Now I'm fully INVESTED in children, and understand with such greater clarity how imperative the way we relate to them is to their empowerment, happiness, and effectiveness in this world. I have used parenthood as the most important tool in my own self-discovery, getting into those neglected cracks and crevices that children are so gifted at revealing. I believe they have so much to teach us, maybe even more than we do them! I strive to parent consciously, digging deeper into the psychology of how our actions affect them, understanding physically what their brains are capable of at each stage, and inviting every stressful moment, grateful for the opportunity to learn more compassion, Read more patience, and love. I spend all my time with my 22 month, Tourmaline, and I love getting on the floor with her and playing for hours, emphasizing creativity and laughter. I think it is so important to give them the security of trusted, loving, and validating care, and I want to provide that space for other families that have so many pursuits in so many directions. It's a hectic world! We ALL need a retreat from time to time and how difficult is it to find somebody that you feel 100% comfortable leaving your little ones with! I have full confidence I can be that mama! I live tucked away in the woods with tons of lawn space. I love to play and have no problem fully engaging with the little ones for our whole stay. My stuff can wait. I'm also road ready and can come to you! And I must say, I'm a pretty amazing multi-tasker/organizer, so if there is light housework that is weighing you down too... lay it on me! Nothing would give me greater joy than to make your job a little easier. My girl is full of light and loves connecting with other children. Can't wait to meet your beautiful family!

Our son loves having Terra come! Terra is bright, creative and very caring. She is extremely helpful and responsive to my son's high energy and needs. Terra is flexible with hours and I have returned to a cleaner home after she has sat for us! (Always a plus!)
