My name is Kristin O'Connor, I am 22 years old and I am a graduate from Rhode Island College with a major in communications with a concentration in speech and hearing science. I am from North Kingstown RI. In my spare time I enjoy rock climbing, being in nature, and reading and writing. In addition to babysitting, I also work part-time for Perspectives Corporation at a group home with special needs boys where I am a Direct Support Professional. At this group home I have had experience with hygiene, house cleaning, cooking and meal preparation, time management, and conflict resolution. My daily duties at this job include getting the boys ready for school, distributing medication, assisting them with hygiene, making sure they get on and off the bus, and other aspects of their daily and nightly routine. I believe that these skills I have acquired make me the ideal babysitter. Read more I have been babysitting since I was in middle school, and I have babysat children as young as 18 months-12 years old. I have a 11-month old niece who I take care of occasionally who is pictured with me in my profile photo. I am CPR and first aid certified from my job at the group home and I am up to date on these certifications. I can present these certifications if needed. I am good at managing up to three children at a time, and I enjoy outdoor activities as well. For my group home job I had to pass a background check and be fingerprinted at my local police station.
