I was born and raised in Hawaii the oldest of six children. My father an attorney. I went to the University of Hawaii. And also participated in the National Student Exchange program and completed a year at UMASS Amherst. I was scouted in Hawaii to play soccer for them and was on the team when I got off the plane. I became a journeyman ironworker out of local 37 Rhode Island. I was teaching but they needed a woman on the bridge. Minority reasons. My children went to Narragansett elementary. Kingston Hill Academy. And now South Kingston High School. I have seven children. Twin boys. Milia is 25, Johnny is 23. Maile is 21, Kili is 19. Christopher and Matthew are 17 and Mary is 15. I coached my boys travel soccer team for a few years
