Hi! My name is Kate. I am a professional nanny/ babysitter/ tutor with over 15 years experience caring for some very wonderful children. A former CNA, I have over 16 years experience acquired from employment in nursing homes, assisted living and independent living communities, home health care agencies, and private residences. Taking care of my people of all ages is my gift and my purpose. Regardless of age, I treat everyone with dignity and respect, and provide care in a gentle and soothing manner. I have provided care for newborn twins, toddlers, school-age children, teens, adults, older adults, and individuals who have reached their final stage of life. I enjoy arts and crafts, drawing and painting, music and singing, outdoor activities, reading, imaginary play, cooking, visiting parks, museums, aquariums, libraries, zoos, and theaters. I am fun, outgoing, and have a great sense of humor. I possess a BA in psychology Read more and have completed courses in early education and prerequisites for nursing and social work programs. My current position (full-time nanny for 2 teenage brothers) is in hiatus while their parents are working from home during Covid quarantine. I am seeking part-time to full-time temporary positions with the potential to transition into more permanent employment in the future. My strong written and verbal skills, along with a proficient commandment of mathematics and science, have proven beneficial when assisting children with tutoring, homework help, and assistance with school projects. While schools are closed, I am very interested in lending my natural and acquired teaching skills to families who have a need for home schooling.
