Adulthood has given me so many life experiences thus far that has shaped my thinking and behavior in such a positive transformative way. I became an aunt at age 16 which is when I had my first encounter with learning to care for newborns. I've played an integral role in assisting to care for my niece and nephew from babies (changing diapers, bathing, feeding, putting them to sleep) to now (preparing meals, helping with grooming, transporting them, and most of all teaching life skills). I taught a 6 week reading class, tutored phonics online, and my most current role teaching math and reading skills in the classroom.
