Guinness initially seemed like a good fit and was responsive during the initial communication. She stated that she had full availability, confirmed that the $15/hour rate worked for her, and we scheduled a video interview for 1:30 PM. However, approximately an hour before the scheduled interview, she contacted me to say that she was no longer interested. I appreciate that she ultimately communicated her decision rather than completely ghosting, but the short notice was disappointing, especially since the interview had already been scheduled and confirmed. I would have appreciated more advance notice so I could have used that time to connect with other candidates.
