Hello! My name is Callie, and I am taking a break from the real estate industry and am looking for a part-time job working with kids and/or pets! Experience: I have many years of experience with both: Most notably, for several years I worked as a nanny/learning helper 3-4 days a week for 2-year-old twins, just adopted from Russia. In college, I pursued an elementary education teaching degree and was a TA for a kindergarten class in California, before switching to a marketing degree, when I moved back to Illinois. I have also tutored children – I worked with Spanish speaking middle school kids needing help with math. For the past several years, I have been working by bringing dogs into my own home for overnight stays. I have had dogs stay in my home for just 1-2 nights, as well as up to 6 months at a time. I Read more adore my own dog – she is so sweet tempered and is always looking for other dogs to play with! At times, I will also visit homes with dogs in my neighborhood for a quick check-in in order to let a dog out or give a walk. About Me/Bio: - I am quite active and love to be outside: I go on daily walks and love to ride my bike, go swimming, or also just relax and observe nature from my back patio! - Leader/role model personality: I like to help those who need assistance and find satisfaction seeing the growth in others that I have shared a part in guiding. - I am polite, have manners, and will reinforce those traits with anyone whom I have a leadership position around. - I am fun, loving, and compassionate. I also listen to instruction, know how to be serious, and will discipline accordingly by the instruction given to me. - I know children (and animals!) need consistency and stability and even though it may be difficult to keep at it sometimes, I will not “undo” positive, proper behavior.
